About Me

So, who am I? My name is Jimmi Gathu…a Kenyan born in February 11th 1970 and raised in a historical estate called Kariokor Flats named after the famous Carrier Corps. I’m a career Radio and TV show host, actor, content creator and corporate MC.

I grew to become a household name thanks to my hosting various shows on TV and Radio spanning 30yrs, from 1990 to date. If you grew up in the 90s then you can recall me hosting your favorite kid’s show Club Kiboko, which I hosted every Saturday Morning.

I’ve received various industry awards over the years and have been a key figure in both journalism and entertainment industries. With my years of experience, I’ve been able to develop contacts in both the government and the private sector, which has made me an asset to anyone looking to connect with decision makers.

Though I am proud of how God has blessed my career, my greatest achievement came in 1998, when became a husband to the love of my life, Cathy together with whom I have raised a beautiful family. I am a proud father of 3 girls (#girldad), a father-in-law and extremely happy to be a grandfather of 3.

What am I passionate about? Well, family life and encouraging young men and women to keep their marriages strong. I’m also keen on changing how media can positively shift social, cultural, economic and political spheres, in an endeavor to get people to make informed life choices. In short, impacting the future generations, mentoring them both in the media industry, as well as positively influencing their perspectives on life’s important choices

It is my goal now to not only be a part of the change that is happening, but to leave a lasting legacy and solidify my God given place in the book of legends.
